Whether or not federal legalization of marijuana happens, (the federal government is inviting criminals into our country daily) our State will have to realize legalization does not stop the growth of illegal operations. These criminals can hide behind inefficient and ambiguous laws and rights which increase prosecution costs and incarceration costs. Transportation of illegal drugs is the only place we can catch illegal operations, crossing state lines and still on federal highways that might be just another hideaway. The illegal drug dealers are a bigger set of problems than our new class of legalized drug dealers. Why do we want to take on the legalization of marijuana when the results are permanent and uncontrollable without incurring huge costs for law enforcement.
