# Even in Wyoming? - Eye on the Issues - Episode 026

In this episode of Eye on the Issues, we are joined by Representative Jeremy Haroldson. We're talking about the recent jaw-dropping case coming out of Rock Springs, where the local school board is defending its actions by keeping the Wiley family uninformed of their daughter's transgender identity. You'll hear about the school board's actions earlier this year, implementing a policy to keep parents in the dark. Even worse, they defend their actions in the face of a federal lawsuit. You'll also learn more about SF117, a bill in the recent legislative session that could have stopped this problem in its tracks had it not been kept in the drawer by Speaker of the House Representative Albert Sommers. Many thought this problem would never exist in Wyoming, but it does exist, and sadly it's very likely not an isolated event.
